Roderick Weatherly (General Manager): Rod is a former High School Speech Teacher, Human Resource Assistant and Millender Fellow to former Mayor of Detroit, Dennis W. Archer. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Morehouse College in Atlanta, and a Master Arts Degree from Wayne State University in Detroit. He is happily married to Eva and the proud father of Rhionnon and Rod Jr. "The restaurant industry is about building relationships. Frank Pannitti (Executive Chef): Frank is married to the amazing Vanda, and has 2 sons, Vincent and Zackary. Frank began his restaurant career in 1975 at Cattleman's Steakhouse as a grill cook. He has worked at Ruth's Steakhouse, Morton's Steakhouse and many others along the way. He was a Sous Chef at Wreckers Bar & Grill and then on to Euclid Beach Cafe, where he was Executive Chef. One of Franks' employees say, "Chef Frank is what Chefs are supposed to be, a teacher, he is one of the most humble men around, his knowledge is vast and Suga's is a better place because of him". Evan Catlett (Sous Chef): Chef Evan lives with his wife Kacie and three children, Hayden, Maddie Joe and Emma Grace. He started his culinary career in Biloxi, MS, working in many different kitchens with many different cuisines. The five years preceeding Hurricane Katrina, Chef Evan worked at the Beau Rivage Resort and Casino. He came to the Golden Triangle after Katrina. Chef Evan was part of the Suga's opening team, he left for awhile but is proud to be back practicing his art and chemistry.
Tyler Louviere (Catering Assistant): Tyler was born and raised in Nederland. Tyler has been with Suga's since the grand opening and has a passion for life. Tyler has an eye for details which is perfect in his position. He is currently enrolled in Lamar and hopes to graduate in Business Marketing. Tyler has dreams of opening his own catering facility and staying in Beaumont and watching this area reach it's full potential.
